Kerala Folklore Museum, Ernakulam / Kochi, Kerala.

Kerala Folklore Museum, Ernakulam / Kochi, Kerala.
What’s amazing about the Kerala Folklore Museum is that it has been made from doors, walls and windows that have been gathered from houses and temples across the southern states of India.

You step into the pillared lobby and a sense of something special envelops you. Stroll from hall to hall and you are astounded by how many articles have been gathered, restored and exhibited.

Informative labels on each article assure you that the couple actually understands and values these treasures.

Pondicherry Museum, Pondicherry.

The Pondicherry museum housing some of the superb collections of sculpture is located in the Bharathi Park. This museum has an excellent gallery with sculptures and has the remains of archaeological findings from the Arikamedu Roman settlement. One can go through the history and legendary French colonial details in the section of the museum.

There is also a very good collection of snail shells brought from the Pondicherry region. Bronze sculptures of god and goddess, a wide gathering of temple lamps, handicrafts and art are also here. Some specimens of Chola and Pallava art from Pondicherry and Karaikal are dispalyed in the sculpture gallery.

Mr. Sudhakar, got hooked on to this hobby right from his school days. At the age of 14 he first designed a bicycle and the very next year at the age of 15 he made his first “Easy Rider Motorbike”.
